This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard personal, business, financial, and tax-related information in connection with our website and professional services.

1. Information We Collect

To render professional tax preparation, bookkeeping, business consulting, and training services, we collect non-public personal and business financial information provided directly by you during consultations, portal onboarding, and document submission:

  • Individual Identification: Names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security Numbers or other taxpayer identification numbers, and government-issued identification when required for services.

  • Business Information: Employer Identification Numbers, entity information, ownership information, business records, and related documentation.

  • Financial & Tax Records: Forms W-2, 1099 and other income documents, prior-year tax information, bank and financial records, bookkeeping records, business income and expenses, depreciation information, and other documents necessary to provide the requested service.

  • Website & Device Information: IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and website or portal activity where collected through our systems or service providers.

  • Communications & Service Records: Emails, SMS communications, intake responses, client notes, document requests, appointment information, and service-related correspondence.

  • Payment & Transaction Information: Billing and transaction information associated with payments for our services. Payment card or banking information may be processed directly by third-party payment processors.

2. Internal Revenue Code § 7216 Compliance

Federal law strictly limits how tax return preparers may disclose or use your tax return information. Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations Section 301.7216-1 through 301.7216-3 govern all data obtained in connection with the preparation of your tax return.

TAX RETURN INFORMATION PRIVACY NOTICE:
Federal law limits the use and disclosure of tax return information by tax return preparers. Rise Consulting Solutions LLC uses and discloses tax return information only as permitted by Internal Revenue Code §7216, applicable Treasury Regulations, other applicable law, or a valid taxpayer authorization. When a separate consent is required for a particular use or disclosure, we will request that consent before the information is used or disclosed. This Privacy Policy does not replace any separate consent required under IRC §7216.

3. How We Use Your Information

All information acquired is utilized exclusively to execute our contractual engagements with you and satisfy statutory responsibilities. Specific applications include:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting federal, state, and applicable school-district tax returns, as well as municipal or local income tax returns when separately requested and included in the client engagement. Certain municipal or local returns may require printing, client signatures, and mailing rather than electronic filing.

  • Delivering comprehensive accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping management services.

  • Structuring entity formation, corporate governance documentation, and business planning strategies.

  • Administering professional educational courses and professional development curriculum.

  • Communicating regulatory updates, required documentation notices, filing status notifications, and appointment confirmations.

4. Information Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

Rise Consulting Solutions LLC does not sell, rent, commercialize, or lease client lists or personal information to third parties. Disclosures are executed strictly under defined, legal frameworks:

  • Authorized Service Providers: We may use third-party service providers that support tax software, electronic filing, cloud hosting, client intake, document management, CRM systems, communications, bookkeeping platforms, payment processing, and related business operations. These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for us and are subject to applicable contractual, privacy, security, and legal requirements.

  • Legal Mandates: In response to formal judicial subpoenas, valid court orders, or mandatory state/federal audit inquiries as prescribed by law.

  • Client-Directed Disclosures: We may disclose information to a third party specifically designated by you when permitted by law and, where required, after obtaining an appropriate authorization or IRC §7216-compliant consent.

5. Data Security & Technical Safeguards

Rise Consulting Solutions LLC maintains a Written Information Security Plan (WISP) and administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect client and taxpayer information. Our security practices are informed by applicable requirements and guidance, including the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS Publication 4557, Safeguarding Taxpayer Data: A Guide for Your Business. Safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, secure data transmission and storage practices, endpoint and network protections, staff procedures, vendor oversight, and restricted physical access to client information.

While we take reasonable measures to protect information, no electronic system, network, or method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Data Retention & Document Disposal

We retain personal, financial, tax, and business records for the period reasonably necessary to provide services and satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, security, and professional recordkeeping requirements. Certain tax-preparer, electronic-filing, and due-diligence records are required to be retained for specified periods under IRS rules, including certain three-year retention requirements. Other records may be retained longer when required by law or reasonably necessary for business, compliance, dispute-resolution, or client-service purposes.

When records are no longer required, we use reasonable methods designed to securely delete electronic information and appropriately destroy physical records.

By providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting in, you may receive service-related SMS communications from Rise Consulting Solutions LLC, including document requests, appointment reminders, filing or service-status notifications, and other communications you requested. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing services.

We do not sell or share mobile opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging service providers may process information as necessary to deliver messages on our behalf.
